Virtual Field Trips for Distance Learning

During our distance learning my preschoolers enjoyed virtual field trips. The first virtual field trip is "Animals Around the World". We went and saw a zoo in Australia, an octopus in an aquarium, a farm and even a dinosaur museum. I even added my Bitmoji for  some fun. The second virtual field trip was "Plants Around the World". Here we saw a Rainforest, a Desert, the Redwood National Forest, and a tulip garden. I even added a song about how plants grow to the beginning on the field trip.

The student enjoyed these field trips and where extremely engaged when it was virtual field trip day.

Super Hero Door

To start the year off I decorated my classroom door with super hero minions. I got the idea to make the minions into super hero from Pinterest (https://www.pinterest.com/pin/399905641913292579/). Then used a minion template, that a TA that I worked with during a long term subbing job created, to trace the minions and their outfits. I used construction paper, a sharpie marker and glue to put them together. After creating the minions I laminated them. For the lettering I used neon orange poster board to draw the letters and then I cut them out. Around the window I placed sparkly silver borders and then used super hero themed name plates, from Michael's, to hang the students names on the door. The background is dark blue butcher paper that my school provided. This is was my favorite door I made this past year and I cannot wait to do it again next year.
